US Size E/4 (3.5 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge

GAUGE
18 sts x 14 rows = 4” in Half Double Crochet (hdc) with larger hk

Sizes Medium, 2X, and 4X use almost exactly the noted amount of yarn. Accurate gauge is crucial to ensure you do not run out of yarn. After obtaining gauge, unravel your swatch and use it for the sweater. Alternatively, you may wish to purchase an extra ball as insurance.

Offbeat is a self-striping yarn. To ensure your project looks as close to the sample as possible, when starting each section, be sure to visually match the color to the point at which you are rejoining. This will require you to wind off some yarn, but we promise the results are worth the effort! If you choose to use this method, you may wish to purchase an extra skein as insurance.

When making Post stitches, always skip the equivalent amount of stitches on the current row.
