PATTERN NOTES
This pattern is written in US crochet terminology.

This cardigan is worked in pieces and seamed. The ribbed hem is worked first, vertically, in rows. Once created, the piece is turned, and the body stitches are worked directly into the hem. From there, the remainder of the body is crocheted flat from the bottom up. The sleeves are worked from the bottom up starting with a ribbed cuff worked in the same manner as the body.

This pattern contains rows with written instructions for a set stitch count, then instructs you to follow a chart for colorwork for a set stitch count, after which you will resume written instructions. It is recommended that you place removable stitch markers at the start and end of the chart to help you mark your place.

This project uses stranded crochet for the colorwork sections. You will follow a chart for the color changes across the row. Each square of the chart is one stitch. You will carry the non-working colors along the row behind other stitches. Be mindful of maintaining a consistent tension when creating these floats, as they can impact the overall tension of your project. You may wish to trap floats at even intervals to prevent long floats from occurring on the wrong side of the work.

For color A, sizes Extra Small, Large, and 3X use up almost exactly 2, 3, and 4 skeins respectively. For color B, sizes Large and 4X use up almost exactly 2 and 3 skeins respectively. You may need to unravel your swatch, or you may wish to purchase an extra skein as insurance.
