Chiaroscuro is a boldly patterned yoke sweater you’ll love knitting and wearing. The funnel neck and generous length will keep you warm and cozy. Thoughtful touches like a rolled, contrast color hem, neckline, and sleeve cuffs plus A-line shaping make this piece infinitely wearable. It’s the perfect pullover to wear after a day on the slopes or an for an evening sipping wine with a good book in hand.

Universal Yarn Deluxe Worsted Tweed (90% superwash wool, 7% anti-pill acrylic, 3% viscose; 100g/218 yds)
908 Navy (MC) – 4 (4, 5, 6, 6, 6, 7, 7) balls
915 Cloud Blue (CC1) – 1 (1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2) ball(s)
916 Tulipwood (CC2) – 1 (1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2) ball(s)
Needles:
Needle A: US Size 8 (5 mm) 32” circular and set of DPNs (or your preferred needle for knitting small circumferences) or size needed to obtain gauge
Needle B: US Size 7 (4.5 mm) 16”, 32”, and set of DPNs (or your preferred needle for knitting small circumferences) or size needed to obtain gauge
Needle C: US Size 6 (4 mm) 16”, 32” circular and set of DPNs (or your preferred needle for knitting small circumferences)
Notions: Stitch markers, tapestry needle, stitch holder or waste yarn, cable needle (cn)

GAUGE
19 sts x 24 rnds = 4” in St st with Ndl B
19 sts x 33 rnds = 4” in Crosses patt with Ndl A

PATTERN NOTES
This sweater is knit seamlessly from the top down. Only one color per row is used during Crosses, Left Slant, and Right Slant patterns. Whichever color is shown before the round number is the color that will be used for that round. In this pattern, slip all stitches purlwise with yarn held in back unless otherwise noted.
